DC polarity remains constant in ac polarity regularly change.the plate of capacitor to the positive terminal of the battery get positive charge and DC polarity remains constant in ac polarity regularly change.the plate of capacitor to the positive terminal of the battery get positive charge and loss of the electron which produced electric field and potential difference between plates of capacitor.when the potential. In addition to this, In Dc polarity remains constant while in Ac polarity regularly change. The plate of capacitor when connected to The positive terminal of the battery get positive charge and loss electron which produced electric field and potential difference between plates of capacitor. When the potential difference between plates of capacitor becomes equal to potential difference of the DC battery then charging of capacitor becomes stopped. While when we replace Dc battery by Ac battery then the plate which get positive charge after some time that plate become negative charge and the loss electron gain by that plate as a result net change become zero.
